ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a self-taught artist who has had many teachers. The most important teacher has been nature, the most recent has been the community of artists here in Provincetown. After 16 years here I have gone from studying with many of the extraordinary artist/teachers at the Provincetown Art Association to being a teacher there myself. Being surrounded by the natural beauty of the Outer Cape, and the supportive community of people here in Provincetown, has given me a broad foundation for creative expression. My current work includes photography, white line woodcuts, and paintings, all reflecting my love of nature through the use of color, pattern, and narrative compositions.
